It's testing time where I live, and for these two weeks grades 3-? have to stop teaching so the state can figure out how we're doing. (Which is kind of funny because next year we have different curriculum and thus different tests, so starting in 2 weeks the kids will be training for that test and we won't be able to really compare the new results ( Read more... )

Friday at New School the 4th Grade got to dissect owl puke!  Then they had to determine what their puke animal was and reassemble it as best they could.  I was invited to volunteer and it was pretty fun.  We never did anything like that when I was at school.  Q-10 told me he liked it, but he thought the bones felt gross.

The kids started the new school this week and things seem to be going great.  I am much happier with the situation and they seem to be adjusting, making friends and no tears.

T-8 surprised me the most because she's my clingiest child, she has a solid group of friends at the old school and she's leaving Puppy Love.   But, she's done well.
